Community CPR & First Aid Class

This one day Red Cross class will certify you in Adult AED, Adult, Infant & Child CPR and Community First Aid. Cost: $65  Pre-registration required.  Classes held at the Heritage Center, 256 E. Orange Ave.

Veteran's Day Run - November 11, 2012                       

This event features a 10K Run as well as a 5K run, 5K walk and a Kid’s Fun Run.  The race begins at 7:00 a.m. in front of City Hall (291 N. Main Street) Downtown Porterville.

Awards will be given to 1st through 3rd place in each age category for running and walking events.  All participants will receive an official race day shirt.

Free Fun Run for children 10 and under (about three blocks)

Pre-register at the Heritage Center, 256 E Orange Ave, or between 5:45am and 6:30am the day of. 
(No registration will be taken after 6:30am- NO EXCEPTIONS!)

Fee:
Runners $15 pre-reg., $20 day of race
Walkers $10 pre-reg., $15 day of race

Open Gym Volleyball

Winter 2012
7pm-10pm
$2 per player

Adults 18 and over are welcome to play volleyball.   Come by yourself or with friends, teams will be formed as people arrive.  This is a fun and friendly atmosphere for adults.  For more information, call the Heritage Center, 791-7695 or simply stop by one Saturday evening and see for yourself.  No fee for spectators.

Dive In Theatre

The last two Fridays in July and the first two Fridays in August, Dive In Theatre takes place in the City Pool at Murry Park.  Cool off in the pool and watch a movie at the same time.  Showtime is dusk.  $5 for a family up to 6, $1 each additional family member.

Thursday Night Dance

Thursdays, 7-10pm @ Veteran's Memorial Building.  $5 admission.  Jerry Hall & Trick Shot provide the entertainment for the various dancing styles.

Water Aerobics-  Coming Soon!

Mon/Wed/Fri classes in the City Pool at Murry Park from 6-7am.  $2 per class.

Senior Christmas Dinner-

Doors open at 1:30pm.

A turkey dinner with all the fixings, entertainment and door prizes are planned to make this event enjoyable for all.  Tickets are $8.00 in advance or $10.00 at the door.  Space is limited! Buy your tickets early.  Tickets may be purchased at the Heritage Center, 256 E. Orange.

Adult Coed Volleyball

Registration opens
August 2012

Games will be played Saturday evenings September 10th- November 12th, inside the Santa Fe School Gym.  10 game season, with top four teams advancing to the tournament.  Players must be 18 years or older to play.

Early-bird registration is $125 per team when paid by August 19th, general registration will be $150 per team.
